Another awesome race weekend is in the bag! Utah turned out to be a really challenging course with lots of variables in place that could ruin your day or make you a winner. Nice work by the WORCS staff to prepare and get this new venue ready to go in time for the race weekend. The MX track wasn’t as smooth as some would hope but the same could be said for the entire course which was littered with rocks, ruts, vegetation, and water! The infield MX track was brutal with 2 large rhythm sections and a few really tight turns.
Beau Baron was able to make it around the competition in the Production 1000 class and go on to win a very competitive race in the premier UTV class at WORCS. Beau piloted his TurnKey UTV / Polaris RZR XP900 to the top spot all while turning the weekends fasest lap time in a UTV!
In the Production 850 class, UTVUnderground racer David Lytle would once again take the checkered flag keeping him and his Kawasaki Teryx on top of the box and on top of the Production 850 points leader board. David led lap after lap, never allowing another competitor to pass him. His Dasa powered Teryx once again looked strong!
The Production 700 now has the tightest points chase in all of WORCS in regards to UTV’s! Cody Rahders in the UTVUnderground / Cognito Motorsports / RZR 570 put on a clinic and led from the green flag never looking back. Cody would dominate this race winning by over a MINUTE on the second place finisher and turn off a faster lap then all but the winner of the Production 850 class! Cody finished 3rd overall in the race only :19 sec behind the winning David Lytle of Prod. 850. This little 570 has come a long way since the opening round. The win has propelled Cody into a tie for 1st in points with Michael Hinckley and his Yamaha Rhino. Sitting 3rd in points is the ever so dangerous, Luke Rogers who despite some bad luck the last few rounds is only 3 points behind. Its still anybodies race to win the Championship!
