This premier race program has been in development since January of 2012 which is when team owner and driver Scott Martinez of Vigor Motorsports approached Magnum Offroad and UTVUnderground.com with the idea to build and campaign John Deere’s latest platform in the 2013 BITD race season. Immediately the new RSX850i Gator was turned over to Magnum Offroad (Vista, CA) to develop and build this state of the art race UTV which features products from off-road & UTV industry leading sponsors General Tire, Method Race Wheels, FOX Racing Shocks, TEAM Industries, KC HiLites, PRP, Big Gun Exhaust, Competitive Metals, Odyssey Batteries, Summers Brothers, Piaggio, Alba Racing, Stotz Equipment, Monster Seal and also features an industry first sponsor in El Cartel Tequila! The machine utilizes Magnum Offroad’s intelligently designed BITD/SCORE legal chassis and RSX850i desert suspension that produces a jaw dropping 18” of wheel travel.

The vehicle, its specs, and story will be featured through a 3 part UTVUnderground.com video series produced by the industries leading production company Mad Media which is slated for debut in mid January 2013. Even more exciting is that the new Magnum Offroad / Vigor Motorsports John Deere RSX850i Gator will be debuted this weekend (January 12, 2013) at the Best In The Desert (BITD) Parker 250, the 1st desert race of the 2013 season. The team will campaign the entire 2013 season in the Pro UTV class at BITD in hopes of delivering John Deere their first ever championship in off-road racing.

The team will also campaign a John Deere RSX850i Gator in the 2013 WORCS racing season in the Production 850 class. Magnum Offroad’s Danny Rosenzweig will pilot that machine with the goal of also delivering John Deere a championship while giving the new platform exposure.   1. What a stunning piece of artwork and craftsmanship. That RSX is just bad to the bone. We are all glad John Deere decided to enter the extreme off road market. I see a lot of real cool mods added to this RSX. Hope we see a lot more companies dip into the mods and add ons pool. We at the JohnDeereGatorForum.com are excited and happy that Magnum Off-road / Vigor Motorsports took on this premier race program. We will be watching and drooling with envy over this new John Deere RSX 850i debut in off-road racing.
