How do I mount a RUGGED RADIO antenna? Is there any pics or INFO for this? Do I mount it to the Aluim roof? Do I drill a hole what size?

depends on the antenna,

there are many brackets available also. weld on, clamp on, etcc..

mine go into the alum roof on rhino and sand car

It has threads and it looks like a notch area on the threads is this the size hole I need? If so then I have about 2 turns to turn and tighten the mount!!

Do you know if it's a ground plane antenna or a zero ground plane antenna? Depending which type it is will tell you where you should mount it. If it's a ground plane you will want to mount it in the center of your roof so you get the best reception possible. It should only require about a 3/8 hole in the roof to mount it.

DONE DEAL

Our standard antennas are VHF 1/2 Wave No Ground Plane antennas.

Unscrew the brass ring, drill a 3/8" hole in the roof, or your tab, bedside, etc etc.

Insert mount from the bottom with nylon washer underneath, thread brass piece on from the top, tighten, done!
