Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance!

And yes, I do see all the dirt in there. :)

Flux capacitor?

Hard to say w/o a wire diagram. I'm guessing diagnostic especially if nothing is affected and no wires are coming out of the piece in your hand and the wires shown are feeders from the ECU. :)

Dave that would be bigger and rounder like Japinthebox's! ;) Also on the back, not inside! :D

oh yeah,.....my bad:D

Reed thats a part Fiche not a wire diagram that id's pins and wires. If you can find one I can read it :D

typically the plugs have no need for a junction like that, they see 12v (+/-) directly from the ECU so it can control spark and share a common or uncommon ground is how the ECU controls spark by ground depending if they fire together or not.

The diagnostic port has 6-8 pins and a dirt cap it takes signals from all the ECM sensors, etc, so does the Power Fuse that feeds the relay/fuse block.

I guess Angie needs to give us some more hints like does it run with all the dirt and disconnected. :D

I have the shop manual but I need a clue of where it is on the car , also Jay's nails look nice . :D

I was looking at the number of wires to a plug or bundle on the Diagram and that is the whole harness, so it should be shown, even if just diagnostic?

I got my money on Diagnostic, most people find them and go wtf is this lol....we've done it before. If it runs fine with all that dirt thats it and if there is no 12-14 voltage at any pin for sure!

The diagnostic Plug is under the dash and the more I look at it it maybe a programing port for the ECU? It looks like a cap and plug?

Yes, typically it requires dealer software and mating plug to diagnose and/or "flash" reprogram the ECU when it is acting up, for easy access.

BTW: Not many stock ECUs are programmable but do allow the dealer to make minor changes to AFR for altitude and less restrictive exhaust. Aftermarkets like PC5 have programmable ignition, rev limit, full AFR, etc....

So, doing a check on Dev's RZR because his RZR keeps dying. Found two burnt wires already. Cleaned up that piece, doesn't appear to have affected anything from being dirty. :)

Also, I've got a manual with the wiring and a manicure.

You could look at ur wire diagram chase the colored wires to that dirty piece, but don't seem like thats the prob. Usually a burnt wire is the result of too much voltage from too low a fuse, or a I call them bad line replaceable units acting like a resistor, etc. Id chased the burnt wires on your diagram to LRU or fuse see wuzz up. Wires should not be sizzling unless they are by heat.

Thats just a start....:D Dying can be from alot reasons.

The regulator/rectifier has a heat sink and cooling fines usually mounted by the ECU/Engine that needs to be clean everyone should check...It can cause over/under voltages to the battery that would throw a code in the ECM. If you have a check engine cluster display your manual should guide u through how to access the code and isolate the issue.
