View Full Version : Yamaha Rhino Guess my HP

Well, after a tough season, I took my Rhino to the shop for repair/maintenaance.

First to SDR for a frame repair and new axles (Summer's Brothers) and CV's (stockers).

I had a couple bad Gorilla CV's and they're too damned expensive for what they are...my entire new setup cost less that one Gorilla Axle with CV's.

And now...it's with John at The Pro Shop.
My Pro-Tec duals quite literally blew themselves apart...perfect excuse to upgrade to a Ron Woods setup. Having him put a K&N intake on as well.

My Rhino has a Web Cam in it already, everything else in the motor is stock. Not sure if the KMS sheave or duner's kit will affect the power that it puts down.

Anyone wanna guess how much power she'll make?

John doesn't really tune for peak power, which is fine by me.
So throw some numbers out...I'll buy a beer for whoever is the closest.

I'm guessing 27 hp

Yup, that was mine.
I told John to give me the "Max Powers discount pricing" :D

The wheels were just to roll it off the trailer and into the shops.
I'm in the process of putting new tires on my good wheels.

Shit..left my cell phone at home today and John called me twice.

Hopefully everything is OK...maybe he called to tell me he's never seen a Rhino make so much power :)

Pickd up my Rhino and got my dyno print-out today.
Nice flat, broad spread of power.
You can see where the CVT "shifts" into high gear.
