Congrats to Austin Kimbrell in his XMF/KIMBRELL ELECTRIC KAWASAKI TERYX for Round 5 on Saturday at the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series in Lake Elsinore, CA.
Props are in order for Chad George of Funco/Team Green Kawasaki for being awarded the W for Round 6 on Sunday! Great job to both drivers and their teams for putting on a great show!

Big congrats to Bobby Vanbeekum who finished 2nd on Saturday and just missed the podium on Sunday. Dif problems hindered him all weekened and despite runing on one tire fire on Sunday he still managed to pull in a 4th place finish! Great job Bobby!!!

RJ Anderson ran hard all weekend in his Walker Evans/XMF Polaris RZR. I am convinced that RJ is the smoothest - most consistant driver on the course. He has his hands full competitng against those monster Teryx's! Keep up the hard work RJ!!!

Chad George overcame multiple motor issues to make the podium both days. He drove his car extremly well both days and continues to sit high in the points rankings! Congrats to Funco or working so hard to get that car up on the box 2 days in a row.

Young Gun Tyler Winbury of the Wagon Burners / Team Funco ran a great race on Saturday before breaking a dierential which seems to be the biggest problem in all o the Terys's....By my count there were 4 or 5 Teryx Diffs that went this weekend....Looking to redeam himself on Sunday he ended up falling short do to a blown headgasket. Keep plugging away Tyler!!!

Congrats to to all the podium peeps. Fun track, just to damn wet:mad:

a whopping 6th and 7th finishes for me for the weekend. I had the top finishing RHino on Saturday and Corry got Top finishing Rhino on Sunday.:)

I think I am done with racing, I just do not have the budget to add more power compared the the Kawasaki's. My driving has improved some, but not enough to overcome the flat out speed of those big 800 twins. :eek:

I have to give a big thanks to HRT Motorsports for the use of the Flyin Banana and Chris at Benchmark for tuning my little 686. It is Still running strong and will go back into my rhino for this dune season.

I will go and help pit for the HRT Prokarts and see all my friends at the tracks.

Our favorite lady Corry Weller raced hard but like most of the Rhino's on the course she came up short. Corry is relentless when it comes to competing and wanting to win. Its a pleasure to hang out and talk with her and Jason at every race! Best of luck to the whole Weller Team!

Cory is always so gracious to people too. I've known her for quite awhile. We met at the Whiplash Snowflake race, back when it was a stock blue. I took my little daughter to meet her at the LOORS at Speedworld in May and Kaela couldn't believe she got to meet a driver, and such a pretty one too. She cheered as loud as she could when Cory's Rhino went by or when she was driving the Super lite truck. It totally made my 11 year old's day.
Cory and Jason are definetly great ambasadors for our sport!

hey dont worry about it. i think youll climb your way back up. your car handles amazing and you have tons of support behind you. just keep your head up and drive like you have been doing so far this year. as far as the rest of the points go, congrats to Tyler, Chad, Bobby for the top three. i hope i can keep consistent finishes somewhere close-ish to the front and end up somewhere top 5 in points; however, that will be difficult with all of the tough competition that the series has brought out this year. The racers and the community is amazing to be around. Lets just go forward and keep the same quality racing that we have been and the utv's will get the attention and fan base needed for advancements in the sport. Rog, im sorry to see a tough rhino competitor go, and for my own sake please dont give your points to rj. haha.

Chris is pushing for me to do another round, but I am not sure.:confused:

Reliability is gonna keep mixing things up as I see it and RJ your fast and reliable, you will climb up the ladder, no prob.

So far I am reliable, but the rhinos are about 3-5 seconds behind the twins:eek: and that is a variance of motors, from 686-760cc or so.

I would really like to be the top yamaha, but is that really saying anything in this series if your not the top 3??? No one cares about 4th on down. My goal at the start of the season was to hope to be in the top 5, given the machines and great drivers out there and thier experience over my paltry 6 races.
