Been there ONCE. It was cool to do the dunes next to the beach for sure! Only bad thing is once youve ridden an area as big as glamis it makes pismo seem small. Dont get me wrong its funn just to tight for me.

The treehuggers are always chipping away a little piece at a time and before you know it it will all be gone. The local riders and people who want it left open need to hire a lawyer and have a legal fund for donations to not only defend the dunes but maybe fight to reopen the dunes.

Pismo on the 4th Rocks. Already got my reservations ready to rock and roll Will have my Hauler in the sand with a cold brew and a hot fire and some good riding. Just beware Like Glamis and everywhere else. Pismo on a holiday weekend is More observing and people watching than it is for riding.

We and your family can stay the night at my moms and we dont need reservations,we can get day passes each day, lets go joe, no excusses.

I've been to Pismo a few times now, and there are some things you need to know.
1. WD40 is your BEST FRIEND.
2. Wet sand sticks to every thing.
3. Do not try pulling a trailer past the second Sand Highway entrance!
4. If you ever think your lost, follow the fence!
5. Obey the rules! The rangers are cool, but dont push them.
6. Bring a shore fishing pole, fishing license, tackle and bait. It's a great way to break up the day.
7. Lock up/dont leave exposed, anything you want to keep. Not all people are bad but theres a few.
8. Help the people that get stuck for free! It's just good karma.
9. Have some one take your picture in the sunset. More people ask me and my wife about that photo then any of the other hundreds we have.
10. Have a good time.............................................. ....................

Don't say it'll never happen. The current administration is about as bad to off-road causes as they come. Now, more than ever, we need to be aware of what's going on. They've been making small advances and gaining momentum. The current political envrionment is downright scary for protecting off-road interests.

Support whatever group stikes your fancy, but pitch in and fight for your rights. The next couple of years are going to be a fight.

They have been trying to close it for years!! If they do pismo beach area will go broke and become a ghost town. My in laws have a house there and it will suck we will never go again seems that's the only reason we go anymore..... I really wish they would open all the dunes back up Then it would really be a sic place to ride

They do sometimes stop selling day passes if they are packed on the Holiday weekends.... If you have a year pass for any off road California state park pass it will work as well I believe you can buy them online or at the entrance of the any off road state park.... Oh yeah there $50 for the year and work for any CA state off road park.......... i will post contact info for my self if anyone can not get in ill be more than happy to pull your trailer and your self in!!

Sweet!!!! my in laws have a house there as well about 3 mins away from the second ramp it's so nice!! LOL
