DISNEY/JERRY BRUCKHEIMER FILMS’
“THE LONE RANGER” SET FOR RELEASE JULY 3

Adventurous story from Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films stars
Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer

IRVINE, Calif. (June 14, 2013)–Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. (KMC) announced a unique tie-in with “The Lone Ranger,” a Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films production set for national release on July 3. The powersports products marketer will use this new reimagining of the popular story to help carry product messages for its off-road motorcycles, four-wheel vehicles and street motorcycles.
Concentrating on a “Live the Legend” campaign line, Kawasaki’s effort is heavily oriented to video creations depicting a transition from the Gore Verbinski-directed film to scenes of modern day adventurers with the company’s Teryx4™ Side x Side, KX™ motocross, and Ninja® sportbike products. The action-oriented “Live the Legend” video appears on KawasakiTV’s YouTube channel, at: bit.ly/LiveTheLegend.
Similar materials featuring the film’s stars, Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer, are also slated to appear in more than 1,000 Kawasaki dealerships around the country. Dealers will also be a core component of Kawasaki’s “Live the Legend Adventure” sweepstakes, which will invite consumers to text entries for a chance to win various products inspired by “The Lone Ranger.” The sweepstakes will also include film promotional partner, the Utah Office of Tourism.
“This is an opportunity for Kawasaki to generate a great deal of excitement around product categories that are a perfect fit for the film’s characterizations,” said Chris Brull, Kawasaki’s marketing director. “We appeal to the same type of independent, adventurous, rebellious individuals depicted by the film’s stars,” said Brull.
“The Lone Ranger”-inspired Kawasaki vehicles will be featured as prizes in other film tie-in promotions, including five limited edition Kawasaki Teryx4 750 4x4 LE Side x Sides to be given away by SUBWAY® Restaurants in their Partner Up & Win promotion, and a Teryx4 and four Shoei off-road helmets as the grand prize for an ABC-TV “Good Morning America” sweepstakes.
In addition to media and in-store involvement supporting the film’s release, Kawasaki is also providing a custom-designed Lone Ranger Ninja ZX-6R sportbike that will be on display at the movie’s world premiere. That event is a benefit for the American Indian College Fund, and the unique motorcycle will be signed by the film’s stars and other celebrities in attendance. It will then be auctioned at a later date with all proceeds going to support the fund.
Kawasaki Motors Corp., USA (KMC) markets and distributes Kawasaki motorcycles, ATVs, Side x Sides, and personal watercraft through a network of more than 1,200 independent retailers, with an additional 7,400 retailers specializing in Kawasaki power products and general purpose engines. KMC and its affiliates employ nearly 3,100 people in the United States, with 300 of them located at KMC's Irvine, California headquarters.
Kawasaki’s tagline, “Let the good times roll.™”, is recognized worldwide. For five decades, the Kawasaki brand has become synonymous with powerful, stylish and category-leading vehicles. Information about Kawasaki’s complete line of powersports products and Kawasaki affiliates can be found on the Internet at www.kawasaki.com.

From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

“The Lone Ranger” also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter.

A Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films presentation, “The Lone Ranger” is directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski, with screen story by Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio and Justin Haythe and screenplay by Justin Haythe and Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio. “The Lone Ranger” releases in U.S. theaters on July 3, 2013.

Night Ride at Truckhaven with SXS Performance

SXSPerformance.com is getting geared up for their Second Annual Truckhaven night ride! Drop the boat trailer in the garage, load up your Side-X-Side’s, and come hit the desert trails of Truckhaven for a night full of unforgettable adventures and stories to last a lifetime.

With the Southern California desert weather unbearable during the day, SXSPerformance thinks it is only fitting to incorporate a night ride into everyone’s summer plans, and what better time of year to do that than the moon-filled day of July 20th. The plan for the night is simple; show up, eat some BBQ grub provided by SXSPerformance, head out on several night rides, and enjoy the desert scenery all night long. The rides will be open to anyone who wants to participate, no special badges or racing designations needed. Follow-the-leader style driving will be adhered to as you wind your way through the washes and desert terrain. If you’ve never been to the Ocotillo desert, consider this your first shot at seeing the amazing scenes and scapes this desert provides to off road drivers.

The itinerary for the trip is straightforward. Everyone is to meet the night of July 20th just off the 86 expressway in Truckhaven at 5pm. From there, dinner will be served and all of the riding will start around 7pm. The adventures will commence when everyone is tired and ready for some relaxation.

This ride brings up the fact that it will be imperative for your vehicle to be equipped with proper nighttime lighting. If you have any questions regarding your vehicles lighting system or you’d like information regarding all of the latest lighting products, give SXSPerformance a call. Their knowledgeable and friendly staff will get you all of the information you need regarding your lighting needs.

To RSVP for this ride, please send a quick email to: sales@sxsperformance.com. The staff needs a head count for the BBQ dinner. It is OK to bring an RV to this event. Everyone is welcome, and if you have any additional questions about lighting or the event itself, contact SXSPerformance at: 855-797-7373. We look forward to seeing you out there!

Hey guys.. needing some HONEST advice (unlike rzr forum BS).

I'm NOT looking for HP. Looking for FILTRATION for 2013 XP. Before the first mile... we installed a two things:

1) DMC Gasket
http://www.sxsperformance.com/product.aspx?id=652
&
2) Outerwears
http://www.sxsperformance.com/product.aspx?id=563

With the above 2 things, after just 1 dusty Texas ride last weekend... the stock paper filter is almost ready for a change. (may get 1 more ride, that'd be IT , tops 2 rides per filter!)

What other filtration systems are out there for clean air?
What's the absolute BEST for air filtration ?

*PURE “300” UPDATE…*

We’ve received calls regarding signing up for the upcoming *PURE “300” SXS OFF-ROAD RACE, Presented by SXSPERFORMANCE.COM...

PURE “300” UPDATE…

We’ve received calls regarding signing up for the upcoming PURE “300” SXS OFF-ROAD RACE, Presented by SXSPERFORMANCE.COM asking as to when is the last moment you can sign up before going into the “Late Fee” structure. SORRY but we have reached our limit of 400 entries and can’t accept any more!!!

Just kidding of course.

We would suggest now to send your entry in. However, we will be at the start/finish on Friday, June 21, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. taking in almost-late entries for the same regular price:
•	$350.00 PROS, with $200.00 going back to the purse and
•	$150.00 SPORTSMEN who will be competing for trophies and no payback.

However, if you get us your entry either via fax to our toll-free number: 1.877.842.3052 or e-mail it to: info@averacing.com or send it so that it arrives by this Thursday (via snail-mail) to: P.O. Box 2141, California City, CA 93504 – You’ll be in the game and we can assign you a starting position and provide you with your race numbers (black solid numbers with white background).

But if you sign up on Saturday, June 22, race day, you’ll have an additional $100.00 to the regular entry fee. Not cool for you, great for us!!! Not really because it make for more work for us at the last minute.

You’ll be able to pre-run the 44-plus-mile course on Friday, from Noon until ??? We suggest you take at least one pre-run lap at night since most competitors will have at least two or three laps in the dead of night.
Just saying.

ONE LAST NOTE: We have moved the Motorcycle and ATV Classes and the event to the following weekend (June 29), so you’ll have the entire weekend to yourselves.
