Looks like we have lost some milage, am I correct?

I think so, but the paperwork on BITD is reporting 140 miles this year (10 14 mile laps) for desert and only 48 miles for the short course race (8 6 mile laps)

sheesh. thats gonna be a quick sprint of a race if they are both that short. with the average MPH of that race being well in the 50mph range you guys are gonna finish the desert race in less than 3 hours easy.

i read somewhere else the same thing as what joey posted above. but if your paper work from BITD shows different i dont know.

Guys, I just confirmed. You will all be running the same size course and same distance. Only difference will be that the short course race will be a couple laps shorter this year.
Joey can you confirm exact milage of each lap in short course and desert race as well as the amount of laps in each race. Trying to figure out pit strategy

14 mile desert course
6 mile short course

According to BITD these were the actual mileage measurements from last year. However prior to the race last year they never actually confirmed the mileage so in the end everyone including us thought it was a 17 mile course when in fact it was only 14. This year they got that straitened out and because of your post above I was educated.

Awesome! Thank you, and as you stated I was unaware of the amount of miles we ran last year and was under the assumption that we did 170 miles. Thank you for clearing that up for us
