Yup, but, I know a guy that hauled a seeder that was way overwidth from Central California to Imperial Valley on a regular basis. He had a trailer that expanded wider than normal hydraulically. As long as he expanded the trailer to the width of the seeder the gov't left him alone. He was playing on perception. I guess if you get stopped you could always widen the bed and nobody will be the wiser!

Friend of mine just got his speeding ticket with a trailer, got caught doing 67. It was about $550 after traffic school.
