BRC Founder Inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame

LAS VEGAS, NV (November 23) The founder of a national trail-based advocacy group, Clark Collins, was given a prestigious award for his work to preserve and protect responsible OHV recreation on public lands. On November 19, Collins was inducted into the American Motorcyclist Association's Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada. Collins joined eight other motorcycle icons that were also inducted at the event.

Collins was recognized for his unparalleled contribution to the national fight to keep public lands open for OHV and other recreational activities. Those achievements include the creation of the BlueRibbon Coalition, helping pass the National Recreational Trails Act, and getting riders involved in the administrative, legislative, and legal processes associated with effective advocacy.

Greg Mumm, the Executive Director for the BlueRibbon Coalition, states, "It was an honor to be at this event to honor Clark who has done so much to champion and defend responsible OHV recreation on public lands. He pioneered the model for effective advocacy that is currently used here at BRC and by other organizations."

"Clark richly deserved this tribute and his legacy will serve to inspire grassroots activism for generations to come," Mumm concludes.

BRC wants to thank the following sponsors for making it possible for it to participate in this event: EBC Brakes, Polaris Industries, Jim Morrison, Paul and Sandy Schillingstad, and Richard Christian.
