BS Sand Rolls Into Off-Road Expo
Phoenix, AZ — From classic CJs and vintage Broncos to the newest Raptors and current crop of UTVs, BS Sand believes there is nothing better than off-roading! The leader in performance suspension seats will be at The Off-Road Expo when it rolls into the Pomona Fairgrounds this weekend… with some surprises in store.
"Bringing together family and friends for a fun weekend of 'wheeling is what it is all about," says BS Sand president Rod Derifield. "But we wanted to make the experience even better. Everyone should have the ability to enjoy more seat time when they finally can get out into the dirt, so we have developed the GLI seat."
Short for "GeLIntgrated," the GLI utilizes medical grade gel inserts to effectively deaden vibration and eliminate pain for longer, more enjoyable experiences. "We merged medical grade materials with the legacy of BS Sand's proven suspension system to create revolutionary ride quality," explains Derifield.
"We have also expanded the bolsters," states BS Sand co-founder Judi Hagge. "Now shoulders and the upper ribcage area are padded with our exclusive contour-cushioning foam. Rock crawlers and desert racers alike can now go faster and harder for a longer period of time without pain."
"Less vibration and more cushion make things more comfortable for a longer period of time," adds ergonomics expert Lars Roulund. "The key difference with the GLI seat is BS Sand's proprietary gel inserts. They eliminate vibration, dissipate weight load and absorb impact," he says. "We have also totally redesigned the lower portion of the seat, incorporating a perineal groove in the center and carving out a deeper tailbone relief area."
The GLI is ergonomically designed to minimize pressure, maximize airflow and add a cooling aspect to the ride. However, the proof is in the performance. Judi has race-tested the BS Sand prototypes in SNORE and SCORE events and one of the first GLI seats has already found its way into one of Robby Gordon's rigs.
