DragonFire Racing-equipped John Deere Puts Its Rep on the (Race) Line
October 14, 2010 - DragonFire Racing has been building original equipment products for John Deere and its limited-edition John Deere Gator for a few years now, and the tractor company recently approached us to design and build two new custom show vehicles.
The idea here was to help launch the new triple-cylinder 850 Gator, the most powerful XUV ever built by John Deere. We got right to work and created two concept vehicles — the John Deere Tail Gator and the John Deere Race Gator.
The Tail Gator makes its debut next week at the annual John Deere dealer meeting, and the John Deere race gator — the company’s first-ever venture into off-road racing — will make an appearance at this weekend’s Bluewater Desert Challenge in Parker, Ariz.
The two-day Arizona event is a 32-mile loop race for cars, trucks and UTVs. For more information, visit Best in the Desert.
As you might have guessed, projects like ours with John Deere do not take place in a vacuum.
