LOORRS Heads South of the Border for Rounds 7 & 8

The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series pro classes head south of the border to Estero Beach in Ensenada, Baja California for rounds seven and eight on June 18th and 19th. This race marks the halfway point in the season and a lot of battling to do before the championship trophy is hoisted by each class champion.

PRO 4

Kyle Leduc wins round six in Utah, an opening line we have been waiting all season to type. It was only a matter of the time before Leduc was back out front, and on the top step of the podium where we saw him most of last year. Carl Renezeder finished second in round six helping keep his points lead. Bryce Menzies, who took the win in round five, did not have the same luck and finished towards the back of the pack on Sunday. Rob MacCachren stayed consistent finishing on the podium both rounds. Renezeder currently has 288 points, MacCachren has 266 and Menzies is only three points back with 263. Leduc is back in sixth with 241. Lots of racing left and the top three guys could change positions several times before the end of the season.

PRO 2

Utah was good to Jeremy McGrath who took second place in round five and was able to grab the win in round six. It looks like he is finding his groove and getting everything dialed in to his liking. McGrath has stayed consistent enough to be second in the points standing with 251. Rob MacCachren who is a threat no matter what he drives took the round six win and is the current points leader with 285. RJ Anderson who did not make the podium in Utah remains in third place in the points with 250. Carl Renezeder is only one point back in fourth with 249. MacCachren will be hard to knock off that top step in points but second through fourth place can change at Estero Beach. Staying out of trouble and running a clean race will be more important than ever.

Pro Lites

General Tire driver Jerett Brooks is on autopilot and swept Utah like he did the previous rounds in Lake Elsinore, CA. Brooks has been the only consistent finisher in the last four rounds with Ryan Beat, Brad Deberti, Brandon Arthur and Brock Heger all taking turns on the podium. Brooks leads the points with 298, followed by Arthur with 284, and Heger with 248. We will see if someone can knock Brooks off that top step in Ensenada or if will he continue to dominate.

Pro Buggy
Kevin McCullough took the win in round 5 with Garrett George and Darren Hardesty rounding out the podium. Round six would see a different winner with Mike Valentine, Hardesty, and George flipped their spots. Valentine leads the points with 258, Taylor Atchinson is only one point back with 257 and George rounds out the top three in third with 254 points. This is one of the closest points races so far and these guys will be battling to the end. Valentine is the target they are all gunning for. We will see once the dust settles on rounds seven and eight where everyone ended up.
