We've said before that a winch does not suffice as a tie-down. Here is an example of the planetary gear failing and letting the cable slip. Can you imagine how high this thing bounced before coming to rest like this?

This UTV would have been undamaged if it were tied down like Gary's Arctic Cat Wildcat we just had in here yesterday for a new tie-down kit:
