Wife and I are flying to Vegas next week from the Great White North. Going to take in the Nap Car race and more importantly the Mint 400. We plan to tour around Arizona as well. We will be looking at places to take our motorhome next winter and leave it down there with our street bikes and rzr, maybe even look at buying a place. I would like to find a place where I can take the rzr out right from where we are staying. I'm thinking maybe Laughlin or Lake Havasu area. I have never been down that way before and was hoping someone could give us some insite.
Thanks
Roger

my alter ego kicked in on the last post.

Staying in AZ will let you drive your SXS on paved roads with the proper sticker and equipment.

look into Flagstaff, Munds Park, Forrest Lakes, Heber, Showlow lots of small towns in northern AZ to plug in the moho for the winter.

My family runs two resorts in Parker AZ. one is on the water called Branson's Resort, and the other is just off the water back in the hills called Cienega Springs RV Park. Both parks are RV friendly, and have their own perks. It's worth checking out, ask for my Mom Debbie Kilgore. 928-667-3346 - Branson's

Branson's is smack in the middle of the Parker Strip. My parents had a place there in the 80s - 1991. Use to ride right out of there until they built the golf course.

Spent lots of quality time at Branson's.

Is Jeannie still around?

Branson's looks great but I can only get direct flights to Phoenix or Vegas. I would like to be with in around 11/2 hours or so from one of those 2 airports. I can't stay there for the winter (stupid job thing) so I would come down a week at a time or long weekends and of course the KOH week. Parker looks to be a far drive from either of those airports.

Havasu is about a 2 hour drive from Vegas. Parker is around 40 minutes south of Havasu.

There is great riding all over Havasu. It would be an excellent choice.

I live in Los angles and have a house in havasu. We have our maverick plated for havi and use it the whole time we are in town. It's a blast. Thier is a ton of moho parks u can stay at. I would suggest staying in havasu and using your motorbikes to go to Laughlin it a nice ride. Hope this helps

Hey Sand Shark, yes Jeannie is still around. She's in her mid 90's now so my Mom runs the day to day stuff, but Jeannie still does late night golf cart strolls through the park. She likes to pick people up, tell stories, and show them around the park.

Wow! She use to take us frogging in the canals when we were kids. She would show us her trophies (stuffed hunting kills). She is a character. Always had fun hanging around with her.

Still remember her on the loud speaker calling for her nephew Jason or screaming at someone to slow down.

Is Elenore still around too?

HaHa, Sand Shark you nailed it!! We call it the kill room, Aunt Jean is still very proud of all her trophies, it's full of Grizzly Bears, Polar Bears, World Record Fish, and many other furry creatures in between.

Jason now lives near me in Huntington Beach, and helps me work on my SR1. I wouldn't be winning races without him.

My Grandma Eleanor was the one who really liked frogging, she just got done building a new house in Branson's.

If you get a chance you should stop in and say hello.

WTH, Noel I remember you. You used to kill it on your stand up jet ski. We were actually just talking about you guys a few weeks ago and Jason said he had tried to find you and your fam online but had no luck. I'll PM you mine and Jason's info. I know he'd love to hear from you.
