new 08 teryx project... need sugestion on motor

Just bought a 08 teryx for 1500 bucks... motor is thrashed (has a hole thru the case you can stick a coke can thru) rod came thru and knocked off the starter as well..aslo needs nuetral safety switch and i believe and engine brake and belt... wanting to know the best option for buying a replacement motor... heard you can get them from kawi cant find a whole lot of options on remans or new replacement

That sounds like a smoking deal. How is the rest of the car? Did you try ebay for a motor? Put some pics up of the car.

over all in decent shape.. plastics on rear cracked... has pro box over head box with radio, upgraded fan, 28 inch mudlight tires that are new.. snorkles, came with some wheels not installed... carbs are jetted was a mud toy until the guy blew it up... ive tried ebay but no luck yet.. im pretty proud of the deal just ready to get it running lol

there are a couple engines for sale on the teryx forum. best bet would be pull the engine and find out what can be saved and replaced there are a lot of good used parts for sale.

Thanks riverbrat... And i pulled the motor yesterday it needs a case crankshaft rods bearings jugs and pistons im talkin completely trashed man no exageration lol
