Aren't you amazed how quiet the new 6.7PS is? Ford sourced diesel, no longer Navistar!! Ford did a nice job with this motor....pulls like a Mack truck!!

DISCLAIMER (So I don't piss off any Chevy or Dodge owners):
I've owned a Duramax (Great truck and motor), and a 24V Cummins (Another Great truck and motor). Furtunately, I have not had a bad experience with a diesel truck yet, just a couple "gas" trucks, inlcuding a 5.7 Tundra that dumped a transmission on me after a couple thousand miles....Bye Bye Tundra!!

i am, i cant believe that it is a diesel it starts rite up on a cold morning just like a gas engine.(no waiting for glow plugs to warm up)
i also had a gmc diesel and a dodge the gmc blew a motor at 200k and the dodge was a great truck never any motor problems but it did go threw 3 trannys i also have a f450 with a 42ft man lift on the back it has the 7.3 power stroke and it has been a great truck 200k and still going, my 06 w/ the 6.0 was a good truck as well but it still had the 6.0 and it had its issues and i just never trusted the danm thing , i feel secure with this new ford built 6.7 motor i should have this truck for a long long time.
not to mention i had to promice the wife that i would not buy another truck for ten years....lol.

What kinda gas mileage pulling and how much weight u pulling? I got a 08 F-450 dually 6.3 twin turbo pulls 22K @ around 7 mpg, 650 ft/lbs @ 2K RPM. You guys know what RPM the 6.7 gets 800? I heard it's a single turbo?

Terry, I get 11-13mpg towing 8K lbs. I get about 15-16mpg all around. I have gotten up to 21mpg doing 60mph on the highway. The turbo is a single "in the valley" set up with reverse exhaust placement. Your current Ford is a 6.4l (not 6.3). I have the Job 2 400hp / 800tq. I love this truck. (Peak torque is about 1800rpm). The 6.4L Navistar diesel is known for bad mileage. The downside is having to put DEF in a separate tank about every 2-3 months, but it's pretty cheap.

Opps brain fart, your right Dave 6.4. What is DEF? Man may be time to trade up now that my house in KS finally sold for only a $30K loss.

Does it help sales tax if I buy in a certain county around here?

I picked up a 2012 6.7 F450 King Ranch 4x4 and that thing is the best Pulling Truck Ive ever owned PERIOD. and I have owned hundreds of trucks since Im in the Wholesale Truck and Rv Biz , Towing over 22k trailers up hill at 70mph is awesome and it gets about 7.5 with that big Stuff , Running it fast to. 30' toyhaulers I get around 11 to 12.
The F450 has 4.30 gears so its always in the Higher RPM which is Great for Pulling heavy. But not MPGs.
