Default Big Bear? Riding Spots?

It's starting to heat up in So Cal. What are some good spots to ride during the summer months? Big Bear?

think I'll have my XP900 back together this weekend from bent roll cage and broke back bed from jumping and flipping @ Glamis then I'm heading there following weekend of 13th before it gets too hot. Decided to stay off the trails till I get some protection, no not that kind Dave, arms lol! Frazier was hot and very dusty last year...

I want to know about Big Bear too is that a good place to ride hell haven't been there since the 70's.

Frazier is dusty, but not over 80 degrees. It cools down there at night too. Terry, you haven't gone up the Miller section yet. Up on Alamo, it's only about 70 degrees or cooler. Better than Glamis at over 100 degrees!! Miller Canyon is also fun in the summer up Waterfall and Ballbuster.

I did Miller Canyon a few weeks ago. That place was awesome! But it's gotta get hot there too right?

Well, I'm not sure how hot it gets there in the summer. I was on that ride too a couple weeks ago. There's also a Rattlesnake canyon, Cactus flats ride this month on the 21st behind Big Bear. Papa Bear has a thread going on it. I'll be there. This is a ride you can't miss. It has everything from Black Diamond trails, mines, and killer rock crawling. Come out and ride!!

Was thinking about it. Do you guys cruise or is it a fast paced aggressive ride? We usually keep it fast with an occasional beer break.

Well, mostly cruising, some high speed and some technical stuff. Papa Bear likes to take lots of breaks. We'll stop at some mines, and a couple peaks we drive up to. It's really a nice mix for a day ride. Last year we got out about 10:00 am and got back to staging area about 6:00. But, we had a couple break downs. There are also some abandoned cabins we stopped at and a goldfish pond out in the middle of nowhere. There's also a river crawl and "hot tub" rock. It's all good stuff
