Friday marked the beginning of Polaris Industries’ weekend long New Years party in Glamis, California. “Camp RZR” is located adjacent to the famous Glamis Beach Store, taking over 10-acres of private property and putting on a family friendly 4-day party event that will surely impress the UTV and Glamis community.
Camp RZR opened at 9:00am and immediately in rushed the awaiting crowd outside the gates. People got to check out the debut of the new Jagged-X Edition XP 900 and see everything the camp has to offer throughout the weekend. Giveaways, FREE RZR inspections performed by Polaris engineers, food, autograph signings, race team displays and a TRAXXAS R/C track are just a few activities going on each day. The biggest Dirt Theater screen to date will be showing Polaris’ “RZR Tour” Videos, Dezert People Money Shots, Bragging Rights, and a 5:30pm showing of the 2012 General Tire Mint 400 TV show.
Mad Media got to spend some time with the Jagged-X edition vehicles and bombed the dunes for an hour long ride sesh with UTVUnderground.com’s Joey DiGiovanni and BJ Baldwin. The two let loose and ripped in and out of bowls throughout Glamis, working their way from Camp RZR to Oldsmobile Hill. The day finished off with a sunset ride to the drags in their brand new tricked out RZR’s.
One of the many events going on tomorrow morning is UTVUnderground.com’s Camp RZR Show & Shine Competition. The event is free to all RZR owners who wish to enter and show off their awesome machines. Prizes will be awarded to at-least the top 3 with the possibility of more prizes to the other competitors. Judging will be based on Style, Graphics/Paint, Interior, Accessories, Customization, Uniqueness, and overall Design.
