Josh, Great riding with you and everyone else this last weekend, Nice pics too. I am stoked your dad won the exhaust, that worked out great. Great turn out, I have always wanted to step up and make one of these rides and help contribute to one of these rides. When Kenny Osborn gave the opportunity to go and get the chance to participate, we were all over it. It was a pleasure to meet the Rosas family and help out with the La Familia family, We cant say enough of how much every one made us feel welcome. I wish we could of done more. Next year we will come out and stay the weekend, It was a great turn out. We have already had one of the $250 maintenance packages come in with his car for service, Woooooot. I think we counted over 30 UTVs here

Steven,

Thanks for coming. We enjoyed everyone's participation, it's always a treat to meet great people!!! I think Jenne told me ~90 vehicles total and 126 participants. It was down a little from last year, but considering the weather Friday and early Saturday morning, we had a lot of brave souls!!! It was great to see the sun come out and cap off a perfect day. Thank you and Black rhino for making this a rousing success.

Dan.... aka Rocketman....:)

MY COMPUTER IS HIT OR MISS. IT IS WORKING NOW. FOR SOME REASON MY WIFE DUNEBUNNY26 CAN'T POST(JOEY PLEASE FIX THAT)
SO WHILE IT IS WORKING. I JUST WANT TO SAY THANKS TO THE GOLDEN ACORN CASINO, BLACK RHINO & ALL OF THE BUISNESSES & PRIVATE PEOPLE WHO DONATED PRIZES OR MONIES TO THE ROBERT W. ROSAS JR. FOUNDATION. MOSTLY I HAVE TO THANK LA FAMILIA. LIKE YOU HAVE ALWAYS DONE. YOU STEPPED UP & TOOK A LOT OF STRESS OFF OF JENNE & MYSELF. THIS WAS THE BEST EVER. THE PARTICIPATION WAS DOWN DUE TO INCLIMATE WEATHER. THE ENTHUSIAM, FUN & COMRADARIE WAS AWESOME. WE ALSO RAISED ALMOST $2,600 FOR THE FOUNDATION. THIS IS AROUND THE SAME AMOUNT WE MADE LAST YEAR WITH TWICE AS MANY PEOPLE LAST YEAR.

Ronnie,

Thank you again for asking Black Rhino to be a part of it. Sorry I could not personally make it there this year, but a big thanks to everyone for making Steven, Layton, Bryan and Lauren feel so welcome.

We are already in the idea phase for next year to help raise more money for the 5th annual Rober W. Rosas Jr. Memorial Ride.

There were so many great prizes, this guy set the mark for having 6 winning tickets. Chad was a great sport, he won a Flow master exhaust and a person made the comment that he needed one, Chad stood up and said, here ya go lucky winner and handed it to him. needless to say he was a happy camper. Nice

So many lucky winners, truely a great event !

Oh ya we had a great ride too.

Steven,

Chad was more than a great sport, he was gracious and giving. I was the recipient of the muffler, and can't thank Chad enough!!! I mentioned to him I had eyed it the night before when we were getting everything ready and that his winning ticket was one number from mine. My son Chris thought we won it at first. When I mentioned this to Chad he said, here ya go man! I was in disbelief, and said thanks but no you keep it, but he insisted. I can't thank him enough as I just laid out $600 for new tires and was wondering how I was going to put a Hushpower on the RZR-S.

This keeps my faith alive in humanity, there's still tons of great peeps out there, and with this kind of giving and sharing, it makes the tough parts of life seem like little bumps in the road.

Thanks again for BlackRhino's stepping up to the plate, and thank you Chad for your generosity!!!

I'd also like to shout out to Jason at Muffler World in El Centro who was the one that donated the muffler. It's proprietors like Jason who make these charity events the great thing they are with their awesome donations. Thanks Jason!

Dan...:)

Re: 4TH ANNUAL ROBERT W. ROSAS JR. MEMORIAL OFFROAD RIDE

WE WON'T HAVE OUR PIX DOWNLOADED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. WE ARE STILL UNLOADING THE FUN TRAILER. I HOPE THERE ARE MORE PIX YOU GUYS WILL POST.
WE ARE EXHAUSTED. WE HAVE BEEN WORKING HARD ON THE RIDE FOR 3 OR 4 MONTHS. IT WAS WELL WORTH IT. WE GOT LOTS OF PRIZES DONATED FROM IMPERIAL VALLEY. OR SON JACOB & HIS GIRLFRIEND GOT QUITE A FEW PRIZES IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA. SO NEXT YEAR IT WOULD BE NICE IF WE GOT MORE INVOLVEMENT IN THE SAN DIEGO & LOS ANGELES AREA. IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF THE UTV INDUSTRY & MORE COMPANIES LIKE BLACK RHINO WOULD GET INVOLVED. CAN YOU IMAGINE IF KAWASAKI, POLARIS, YAMAHA OR ARCTIC CAT WOULD GET INVOLVED. JUST THINKING OUT LOUD. THERE ARE ALWAYS MORE UTVS ON THIS RIDE THAN ANYTHING ELSE. WE DO GET 4X4S, QUADS, BIKES, BUGGIES & ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT OFFROAD TYPE VEHICLES. IT WOULD BE SO COOL IF WE HAD VENDORS SELLING THEIR WARES IN THE PARKING LOT. THIS EVENT CAN ONLY GET BIGGER.

Hey Ronnie, looks like your computer is working again. Maybe it likes the night shift more that the day one. haha

Along the line of thinking out loud, when I had a meeting with Steven this morning we came up with a couple we would like some feed back on.

We were thinking about the idea of an auction for the higher dollar items. Maybe donations with a retail value of $500 or more could be put on display with a sign in bidders sheet.

The other idea was to raise money through out the year and set a goal for the Rosas family of something like; 5th annual = $5,000 cash. 6th annual = $6,000 cash, etc.

We would like to stay involved and get the thoughts and ideas from others for you.

THOSE IDEAS SOUND GOOD TO ME. WE CAN TWEAK ON THEM. OUR BIG CONCERN FROM THIS YEAR WAS THE LOCALS CLOSED OFF 2 OF OUR TRAILS SO WE HAD TO BE ON THE HWY 2 DIFFERENT TIMES.THE HIGHWAY PATROL DID NOT LIKE THAT MUCH.
