Great write up, congrats on the strong finish. That sounds like a very fun race.

At last year's UTVWC they were getting walked on, in the smooth infield section... I'd be impressed if one made it in the top 10 with all the competition. On the other hand, I'm very excited to see the new unlimited build YXZ do well.

I assume the shock stroke has been increased to 10" in the front, 14" in the rear? Can you confirm?

Great job guys. Watching from the infield, your car was definitely working the best over all the jumps, the suspension looked bottomless, while most others were letting off the throttle or bottoming harshly.

Glamisfan, how light would they have to be? The Mongrel is 38 and the ITP Ultracross is 39.6, ballpark with a 30" Tensor. FWIW my 2 seat Turbo pulls very strong with the Mongrels, and I haven't even clutched it yet.

I think Yamaha choosing 27" tires was probably the worst thing they could have done, as the SxS world progressed past that a couple years ago. I would love to see BFG make a 32" version of their new Class 10 35" tire that's winning every race.

Over the last 2 years, I've run 30" Mongrels (33lb) and Moto Crawler (36lb) tires on a XP 4 1000. Now with the XP Turbo, I'm running 32" Mongrels (38lb). A couple observations: -The ground clearance on the 32's is awesome, very big selling point -Loud hum once you get over 50mph -Feels like...

Warlock, I'm getting a Turbo XP, and currently have some 28 STU's off my XP 4 1000. I'm getting 8" front, 10" rear Forged non beadlock wheels, I think beadlocks are not needed for these cars. Do you think this would be an ideal setup? My other thought is the new Pro Armor 30" paddles, but...

HCR kit heavy...I could see that. Maybe the Lone Star kit would be a better fit. Cheaper, probably lighter. Still curious to know what Jagged X charges....

That's what I'm afraid of Rogue! Too much money and frustration. Maybe have an XP for 2-3 years, and eventually graduate to a 4 seat dual sport when I can afford it. I agree, the places you can take them, the ease of use, and the versatility is pretty hard to beat.
