Last year I believe there were only two.
um was there a race last year.... If there was, it wasn't a Dirt Riot race....

You going to race Mike? it's F-U-N!

Here is all the info:

UTV ONLY's at this DIRT RIOT Race... In Coordination with Rally on the Rocks happening in town all week. The promotors of that event asked Big Rich to host a race, and of course he said YES! (NOTE: there are UTV classes at all the Dirt Riot Races)

Come for the week, or come for the race! The UTV portion of the Moab race last month was a blast, and (almost) every portion of the course can be seen from the spectator areas!

Sorry, you're right there was not a dirt riot race during Rally on the rocks last year. When Dirt Riot was there in April last year there were only 2 UTVs that raced.
Yep and the winner of the two took $2500 home from Pit Bull Tires!! Lucky guy! :)
This year there were only 5 at the race in coordination with Easter Jeep Safari. But it was by far the most entertaining race :D (Don't tell any of the 4x4 guys I said that LOL) In general there have been between 4 to 10 UTV's at any given Dirt Riot race this year. At the Coppermines a couple weeks ago there were 26! It just depends on the area. Keep in mind, every Dirt Riot race (14 across the country) has a UTV Class that everyone is welcome to come play in!!

Hoping that with everyone in Moab for the Rally, and that this race is in conjunction with it and supported by it, that there will be a good turn out of racers. And with Dirt Riot, you don't have to be a 'big time racer dude' you can just be a guy that wants to give it a shot! The sportsman class is a little investment for a ton of FUN!

The track is all around the upper bowl and is fun yet a little challenging. There is some rock climbs, fast areas, jumps, tight turns in the trees...and most all of it is seen by the spectators. It's something you can bring your family and friends to and they can actually SEE YOU racing!

Here is a picture of Brian Shirley taking an OPTIONAL GAP JUMP at last months race. Don't worry there is an easy around this

Wow!! Some interesting lap times! :D

How To Read Results: Drivers are listed in Starting Order. Column 1 is their Car Number. Column 2 is their Start Time. Top of Lap #1 is their lap time from the START (Total Time on Track from Start of Race), the bottom of Lap #1 is the Adjusted Time of their Actual Lap Time. The following laps are coordinate the same. The Final Time is the Adjusted Total time raced. Next Column is the Total Number of Laps Raced. The final column is the Finishing Order. Winner is determined by the most number of laps completed in the shortest amount of time.

A great race it was!!!
Started the day off by blowing a tire in pre-running but that is not where the troubles ended....Halfway through the first lap we broke a hime joint in our lower radius rod, luckily for us our new sponsor ZBroz Racing was on the seen and got us back running. At this point we were 2 1/2 laps back but it was still early! Then 5 laps in we lost power steering and 3/4 of the way we snapped our swaybar in half but at the end of the day #1984 pulled out the top spot on the podium!!
Thanks to Dirt Riot for putting on this event and I hope that next year we can grow this event and all of the others to what they should be!! Also thanks to ZBroz Racing, Rigid Industries, my co-driver Zach Rouse and all of my pit crew and family!!
