Lower Trinity & Mad River Motorized Travel Management DEIS Available for Public Comment
The Six Rivers National Forest, located in northwestern California, announced the release of their Motorized Travel Management Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Lower Trinity and Mad River Ranger Districts. The Forest Service (FS) is asking for your input during a 45-day public review and comment period, which will end on July 20, 2009.
The DEIS displays an analysis of four alternatives, each of which would designate a distinct transportation system. The DEIS maps show the routes proposed for addition as motorized trails and changes to existing system roads and motorized trails proposed under each alternative.
