We built on our success of our "Quick Draw" kit for the XP1000 and applied what we learned to the XPT. Although the clutch and cover assembly on the XPT has been revamped we found that it suffered from some of the same issues as the XP1000.

The XPT system is capable of drawing in much more cool air than the stock system can support. Also as we found with the XP1000 the exhaust for the CVT favors the Secondary and there is a lot of hot air that swirls around the Primary and struggles to exit the system.

The stock system is fairly efficient at constant and high revs. But because it is rpm dependent that efficiency drops dramatically at lower rpm's. Situations where you are really working the belt housing and belt temperatures can rise rapidly leading to belt fade. This increased temperature can max the heat threshold of the belt, which leads to the belt fade and of course that dreaded smell of belt burn.

In the case of the XPT the added HP and torque has taken the load on the belt to a new level and keeping temperature in check is key to a healthy drive system. Adding a constant high flow of incoming air dramatically reduces belt and housing temperatures.

Our XPT Blaster II addresses these issues supplying a constant high flow of cool air to the system no matter the rpm. We filter the system to keep all of the large particles and grit out which has also proven to be detrimental to the drive components.
