The construction industry outreach program is intended for workers, foremen, job supervisors and persons involved in the construction. These courses are important to deliver the workers OSHA standards. The topics covered include introduction to OSHA, general safety and health provisions, fall protection, personal protective and life saving equipment. The course also describes cranes, hoists, elevators and conveyors. The course provides construction workers general awareness on the hazards of construction sites. It focuses on construction safety and health hazards incurring at construction sites. The completion of the course provides the candidates 10 hour course completion card. There are also other construction outreach courses such as 30- hour construction outreach program. The program is intended for supervisors or persons with safety responsibility. It provides training to workers on safety, workers should also obtain training on the specific hazards in work sites. Identification of the hazards, control and prevention are the part of the course. These osha courses also focus on OSHA standards and implement it in practical application. It also implements preventive measures for accidents in workplace. It devises measures to protect the workers from falls. Usage of protective equipments at work is also propagated. The various safety requirements for workers are also identified. Precautions and hazards for workers are also identified. The courses are effective in analysing the various issues at work and tackling them.
