For immediate press release…

California City, CA , Sep 8, 2020 – AVE/BP RACING is pleased to announce that Pine Canyon Motorsports has joined our family of sponsors for the remainder of our shortened 2020 PURE UTV Off-Road Dezert Series, as a cash-paying sponsor when they posted $500.00 “large ones” for the Overall spots. Depending on the number of entries either the money will go to the first Overall UTV that finishes the race or to the top three.

Lou Peralta, race organizer and co-owner of the AVE/BP Racing and the Bar-Bs Ranch stated, “We are really delighted to have Pine Canyon Motorsports join our family of sponsors who directly support the racers themselves. We keep not a cent of that sponsorship, which just delights us to no end.”

Peralta wants to thank off-road and PURE UTV racer, Ashleigh Lombardi for the kind posting of prize money. Ashleigh who participates in the series has also committed to sponsoring the rest of the series with the same amount.

Lombardi stated, “Pine Canyon Motorsports, established early 2020 and based in Salinas, California, is a team of goofy, fun-loving family and friends that enjoy any excuse to do something together – in this case, racing. In the racecar, or out, each person plays a vital role in the dynamics of the team. Pine Canyon Motorsports is happy to partner with AVE Racing to support racers who are out there racing simply, because it’s what they love.

Therefore the next event, the PURE “300” – October 3, 2020, a six hour, six lap event will feature a 50-mile course, which has been rated as a 6.4 in the scale (10= superfast as a freeway), meaning that as most know getting in and out of the Barb-Bs Ranch is not a picnic, as tight and rocky trails have to be maneuvered, but for most of the fifty-mile course, it will be whooped out desert, a sand wash here and there and one nice hill climb over the “lava” mountains.

All racers who enter will be e-mailed a “GPS Course Map” to upload to their units on Thursday, Oct 1, by 7 p.m., along with a video that flies you over the course and a racecourse map and just as importantly, a “racecourse access” map, showing where crews can enter and exit the race track safely should the need arise to service a racer car. ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN. Any entries received before September 21, will get an additional 10% discount. Regular entry fees remain until Thursday at 6 p.m. Thereafter, there is a “Late Fee” of $100 added to the regular fee.

There is only one day for pre-running the racecourse, that is Friday, October 2, from 12 Noon until 5 p.m. No other time is allowed.

Saturday, October 3 is race day. Check-in, Late sign-ups, Tech and Contingency start 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.; followed by a virtual Racer’s Meeting at 9 .a.m. – Staging to start the race according to the numbers drawn begins at 9:40 a.m. and closes at 9:50 a.m. Anyone late for “staging” will be sent to the back of the line but their assigned start-time remains. Race will start at 10 a.m. and finish at 4 p.m. –

IMPORTANT: We will observe all “Co-Vid-19 protocols during the event. Everyone is required to wear a mask and maintain the six-foot distancing. Racers and Navigators can race without a mask while in the car. But if you must get out and interact with aliens or repairs on your vehicle, you must wear a mask and keep your distance from people, not your car.
