Rigid Industries Announces Sponsorship of Jerett Brooks and the Off-Road Truck Race at X Games Austin 2015
Phoenix, AZ – June 4, 2015- Rigid Industries® LED Lighting, the world’s leader in forward projecting LED lighting via its patented optic systems and torture-tested housing, is proud to announce its sponsorship of Jerett Brooks in the Off-Road Truck Racing event at X Games Austin this week in the Rigid Industries, GoPro®, General Tire backed #77 race truck.
Rigid Industries is glad to be back on board with Jerett Brooks for a second straight year. In 2014, Jerett earned a 4th place finish at just 16 years old. With more seat-time, a recent TORC Pro Lite Championship, and even more motivation in what’s considered the deepest field in event history, Jerett has his eyes on the one of the 21 X Games Gold Medals that will be earned this weekend in Austin, TX.
“I am so pumped to head back to X Games again this year against probably the toughest field that has been put together in off road truck racing!” said Jerett. “I am so thankful to have Rigid Industries backing me and giving me the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of being an X Games medalist.” Rigid Industries is proud to support Jerett Brooks in his second effort at an X-Games Gold Medal.
The off-road racing event takes place on Sunday, June 7th at 12:30pm local time and airs live on ABC. The format includes 4 group practice sessions followed by 4 bracket style 10-lap races, a 6-lap LCQ, and a 12-lap medal race.
Rigid Industries torture team members Kyle LeDuc and CJ Greaves will also be participating in the two Monster Energy trucks during the off-road truck race while Ken Block, Ronnie Renner, and Taylor Robert will be competing in various events as well throughout the action-packed weekend.
Additionally, Rigid Industries is coming on board in 2015 as an official first-time sponsor of X-Games. As a result, each truck in the Off-Road Racing category will display a Rigid Industries LED light with a select few competitors showcasing the Rigid Industries “Capture”; the worlds first and only LED light with an integrated GoPro charging system.
Rigid Industries will have a booth set up in the Festival Garage; a full-throttle journey featuring an R/C dirt track, dodge ball, a chip and putt competition, various activities for kids, and an interactive BMX track for all ages.
