I dont think there is an issue with the 2 seaters, however with added weight of the 4 seater and an extra 2 people in the car, will definitely strain the belt. these should not be blowing so easily.

From what I was told, by another heavily involved industry guy is that the secondary is designed to push the belt to ride higher when under acceleration. Problem is it's pushing the belt so high between the secondary that it's causing the belts to prematurely fail.
I do not understand that statement as under acceleration the belt is actually being pulled down into the secondary and not moving up in the secondary...

I was just trying to save the belt..... Oh plus my codawg Casey was puking in his helmet...
Good excuse...casey was chummin his fishbowl......I shouldnt be talkn shit tho being I almost chummed out of the other end for the last 3-1/2 hours I was in the car...:eek:next time there will be no mexican tacos the day of the race

Great opportunity for the aftermarket to fix this issue. Upgrade and fix.

The 4 seater in our camp blew two belts then put a inline blower on the air inlet and didnt blow one all weekend. The sand was dry compared to last weekend so not sure how much that affected it

70 miles on 1 belt in our camp 90 miles for the other 4 seat 1000....

Not acceptable In my opinion.

However i am sure their engineers are working on a recall fix !!!!

I only got 191 miles and 13.4 hrs out of the factory belt. The second belt lasted to 216 miles and 15.0 hrs.

The three other rzr 1000 4 seats blew at 50 mile increments the longest other belt was at 161 miles and the shortest factory belt was 49 miles.

So total in camp we broke 7 total belts this weekend and I haven't even made the first payment.

Man that $1400 dollars worth of belts. Polaris stands to make a nice profit from this mistake.

I would worry if you put on a fan they will void your warranty. They have to remain completely stock if you plan on getting any help from popo.

If you made it to were it could be removed easily and the stock tubes put back you shouldn't have any trouble with the warranty.

heard of some guys removing the clutch cover and running it that way for the dune and the belts have been holding up. sounds like it is a heat issue more than anything.
