Yamaha Rhino diff lock

Hey guys, my Rhino hits an almost instant rev limiter when I have the diff lock engaged. Is there a wiring trick to bypass it? I don't want to have to buy a new cdi box. Thanks for any help you can give.

Been so long since I owned a Rhino but I don't remember there being a rev limiter unless you were running in low.

It didn't do it when I first got it a couple years ago, but now it does it in low, high, and reverse.

Is the belt slipping? Maybe it’s a clutch issue?
