It’s never a dull moment in desert racing as fans and racers get ready for the next event in the Best In The Desert’s 2020 series: the King Shocks Laughlin Desert Classic on the weekend of Feb. 20-23, 2020.

As the third race in the 2020 series, the King Shocks Laughlin Desert Classic will test competitors in a two-moto format, meaning each class will compete in two separate days of racing on the 17-mile course with the lowest combined time winning overall. The race is open to cars, trucks, and UTVs of all classes.

It is a completely different style of racing than the first two Best In The Desert Races of the season: the Parker “250” and the Parker “425.” The King Shocks Laughlin Desert Classic short course loop requires a particular level of stamina and skill from the racer! The “Duel in the Desert” will be fast-paced, exhilarating, and a guaranteed good time.

Fans can watch the event on MAVTV and Best In The Desert’s YouTube channel. Those who are interested can check out the TV schedule. The best way for remote supporters to watch the races in real-time is via Best In The Desert’s Facebook and Instagram page where Best In The Desert is now doing live updates throughout the day with comprehensive race coverage.

The King Shocks Laughlin Desert Classic is based out of Laughlin, NV making it one of the most spectator-friendly events in the Best In The Desert Series. Nestled on the mighty Colorado River on the Nevada/Arizona border, Laughlin makes for a beautiful setting for a desert off-road race. Spectators and racers are welcome to stay at the iconic Riverside Casino and Resort, the Official Host Hotel for the King Shocks Laughlin Desert Classic.

“We are very excited to return to Laughlin and our second home on the Colorado River. Laughlin is one of the most tourist and off-road racer friendly cities in Nevada,” commented Best In The Desert CMO Bryan Folks. “The switch from traditional long course off-road racing at the Parker ‘425’ to short course racing is sure to test the skills and abilities of all our racers. We invite everyone to come out and join us in Laughlin the weekend of Feb. 20-23.”

The fact that this year’s Laughlin Desert Classic will be sponsored by King Shocks for the first time ever is also exciting. Best In The Desert is proud to have such a renowned brand as the title sponsor for such a thrilling race. Especially a race where big things are happening like a Ford Ranger 4×4 giveaway.

That’s right, one lucky racer will leave the King Shocks Laughlin Desert Classic with a brand new 2020 Ford Ranger 4×4 Crew Cab courtesy of Alexander Ford in Yuma, Arizona. The Ranger will come with some very cool upgrades including a Woolworth Motorsports leveling kit, 17-inch Method Wheels and a set of BFGoodrich tires, all worth over $40,000 MSRP.

Each registered team will receive a ticket upon final registration and the lucky winner will be drawn at 4 p.m. at the Driver’s Meeting on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 at the Riverside Resort and Casino. The winner must be present to win (winner responsible for all taxes, document, title and registration fees and any dealer-added accessories).

Huge thanks to Ryan Hancock and Alexander Ford for stepping up to the plate and giving away a brand new 2020 Ford Ranger to those racers who support Best In The Desert. This is truly remarkable and Best In The Desert salutes you for your generosity.
