Mini Mint 400 returns to Primm on Saturday, December 4
For the second consecutive year, NGK will return to the 2021 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 as the title sponsor of the Mini Mint 400, event officials announced today. The Mini Mint 400, an event for youth racers and the future stars of off-road racing, will take place on the event’s youth course on Saturday, December 4 in Primm, running at the same time as this year’s motorcycle and unlimited car and truck races.
“The Mini Mint 400 is one of the most crucial elements of the Great American Off-Road Race,” said Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli. “It’s where we see up-and-coming racers get behind the wheel and get their first taste of becoming a Mint 400 champion, and it lays the foundations for these drivers as they pursue a career in the sport. We’re grateful to NGK for returning to back the Mini Mint 400 for the second year in a row, and looking forward to discovering the next stars of the sport in this year’s race!”

Each year, the Mini Mint 400 features dozens of top young racers doing battle on motorcycles and in UTVs on their own devoted course. The Mini Mint 400 serves as a proving ground for young racers looking to establish themselves in the sport, and will begin at 12PM on Saturday, December 4, kicking off shortly after the start of the unlimited car and truck race.
The Mint 400 has held the title of the toughest, most spectacular off-road race in North America since 1968 when it was first run. Initially, the race was a public relations event promoting the Mint Hotel’s annual deer hunt. but what started out as a hotel promotion soon grew into a legitimate desert race. Since its 2008 revival, “The Great American Off-Road Race” has only gotten bigger and more prestigious, and deeper fields every year only make it tougher to win.
This year’s BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 will take place from December 1-5 in Las Vegas. More information on the event for racers and spectators is available at TheMint400.com, or follow the event on Facebook and Instagram. For more information on NGK, visit www.ngksparkplugs.com.
