Slideways Saturday, the hottest UTV racing to hit Lake Elsinore since the Podium days went off in a major way on Saturday. With Monster Energy and Showtime Jeremy McGrath behind this hot new event it is bound to explode! UTVUnderground.com supporter James Hill of IMG Motorsports along with the managers of the recently renovated Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park (LEMP) helped put on a grass roots UTV race that brought back memories of the early years of UTV racing at Lake Elsinore.
Many will say that Lake Elsinore UTV racing is where the UTV craze all started back in 2004 & 2005. I know thats where we at UTVUnderground got our first taste of UTV’s and I am sure the same could be said for many forum members on the site. To see affordable, fun, and aggressive UTV racing back at Lake Elsinore on a UTV specific track is an exciting thing. Those who attended and raced at the event told us they couldn’t wait for the next Slideways Saturday and many who didn’t make it were reaching out to us to find out if the Slideways Saturday events are the real deal. Hopefully they are and you can bet UTVUnderground.com will be a big part should the concept really take off.

Slideways Saturday is going to be a fun event with classes for anyone who wants to race or just drive on the new ATV/UTV track at Lake Elsinore Motorsports park. Our goal is to do something different that does not cost a small fortune to participate in. The UTV track will be prepped for all the vehicles racing with safety being the first priority. The classes listed below will be available to compete in. If you do not se your class then send us an email and we will look into adding one. Some of these classes will race together on separate start gates so the day is not drawn out. We are planning a 2 hour practice and a 4 hour race with a few short water breaks.
Safety Items:
Quads must have emergency kill switch, helmets, protective clothing, boots and eye protection.UTV/SXS must have helmet, eye protection, 4 point harness, window nets and protective clothing.
Technical Inspection:
EMCE Sports reserves the right to subject any vehicle to a technical inspection and at its sole discretion may determine vehicle is unsuitable to race. In the case it is unable to race a refund will be issued.
Cost is related to the staff it takes to race each class. Anything on 4 wheel requires multiple: EMT, Fire, Caution flags , tow vehicles, track prep and more water.
