Use the second included locking hitch pin to secure the ball to the hitch and you’re ready to roll! It’s that simple.
Remember, your goal is for the hitch and vehicle’s receiver to be riding high enough from the ground to avoid scraping, even on potholes and bumpers. In order to achieve this, the trailer hitch should be at least 17 inches off the ground. If you’re too low you run the risk of smashing or scraping the ground which can damage the hitch, your trailer, and your tow load. If you’re angled too high you run the risk of losing your load which could lead to a massive accident. It’s just not worth the risk.
