that reverse box pushes the motor too far forward in my opinion. you could stack it over the rear sproket but you chains would be really short.

All those diagrams with chains would result in too short of a chain for reliability/longevity.

If it can take the abuse, it might work. But thats a $1600 guess, and if it doesnt, theres nothing to replace it with in that configuration, without redoing everything (turning motor back the right way, add rear carrier or FNR box rear end.

For desert riding, I wouldnt mind having my motor a bit farther forward, especially if you are going to run a big rear fuel cell and spare tires.

Actually I was thinking about putting the motor inline and using a couple to the gear box and from the gear box into some sort of rear end, no chain.
