Back in 2014 we shot down to Louisiana to meet up with leaders of the UTV mud riding culture, Scott Smith and his High Lifter family to experience what the Mud Life was all about! What we learned is that we are all victims of our own environments. While mudding is a foreign and at times taboo form of off-road for many outside of the south, for them its a way of life!

The mud riding lifestyle is something we have been intrigued by now for many years. While many in the sport don’t understand why anyone would want to build a bad ass RZR only to sink it in the mud, there is a whole bunch of enthusiasts who can’t imagine doing anything but that! To find out why this genre of UTV riding is taking off, UTVUnderground.com took a trip to Louisiana and hooked up with our friend Scott Smith and his crazy crew of muddin’ buddies at High Lifter to see just what makes this lifestyle so much fun.
