had a chance to work on it for a little bit tonight. started by cutting another massively bent piece of frame out.

Then fitted a new crossmember behind the engine

Then turned it into a little box.

Hopefully more to come this week.

My garage looks like a war zone and I still have some bracing and welding but she is back on her own feet. Now I can measure for my driveline and send it out.

Dude nice work. I love that you come up with an idea and just execute it. Hope everything comes out great!

So this thing has been running for awhile but I wanted to get some miles on her before I did a body just to make sure the chassis had no problems. She handles awesome. 65 mph now feels like 45 mph

Anyways started on the body yesterday at about 1 pm and worked till about 2 am. Still have a lot to do but it it's taking shape. I build and soldered a harness and wired Doug's rhino intercom while he worked on my aluminum. Then we both did the roof together.

Two small side panels per side and the roof and we managed to burn through 50 of the fancy over priced dzus fasteners so looks like I need to order about 24 more. The rear floor is bolted in with 3/8 ss button heads and other then the doors the rest of the panels will uses ss button heads.

Nearly $70 in dzus fasteners on just the roof alone.

Is it an illusion in the photo or does the bed slope down in the rear?

Mostly need to trim more of the fender to get it to sit correctly. The autofab body mounts are great and do allow some play. It was late and small alignment stuff will be taken care or on final assembly.
