Any Maverick or xp with a properly designed front steer conversion and modified shock motion ratios gets my vote. Both of the leading manufacturers fall short in those areas. Ask this same question last year, and you know what I'd say. Pretty soon someone is going to offer a comprehensive kit that addresses these issues. A niche market for sure, but a must for the top teams In my opinion.

I was going to say the Monster Mav but I dont see it on the race course anymore. It had the most race car type mods that I have seen in a while, almost as many as my 08 Teryx.haha

Each of the top cars have things that only a few people from that team know about. We did not want to build a UTV that was way outside of the box, just one that could be on top of the box. I looked at pictures from all of the builds online and studied them for a long time. I also had several long conversations with guys that I consider to be top level, like Matt Parks, Dan Fisher and Nate @ Alba. We also had a wealth of knowledge from Mike Julson @ Jimco in building race cars. End the end there is a lot of things in our car that will go unseen that we spent a ton of time on to get that little extra bit of performance.

That being said, we have a lot to learn about these cars and the do's and dont's. I think there are several teams that have it figured out like UTV INC, Jagged X and Holz. Those guys have set the mark.

I said it in the beginning of my build and I will say it again. Trick parts = trick problems.

Hi Hans. The Monstermav was sold to a guy in Mongolia of all places. I guess they have a run-what-you-brung t kinda racing series out there, where most of the entries are Soviet/Russian surplus 4 x 4's. Not to well organized I was told. The buyer works for an oil company out there, whose job it is to scout out potential new derrick locations. He said he was hoping to start up a more organized sanctioning body for people to race in. He said that compared to the other race cars out there, the Monster mav was like a trophy truck. He sure got a steal on the Monster Mav. Multiple motors, trannys, and clutches were just the beginning of a long, comprehensive list of spares that came with the purchase. There were no takers here. I'm sure my chronicles scared most prospective buyers away! Everybody was afraid the car was too thrashed, based on my chronicles blog. I guess they would rather not know details about a race car for Sale. Any 2 year old championship winning off road car is going to be ridden with battle scars. I was just open about ours. Oh, how I miss the Mav.! !!!
