New dates, new sponsors, new race, and tons of thrilling action. 2017 may still be six months away, but Best In The Desert is proving once again why they are the premier and most popular desert racing organization with the announcement of their nine-event 2017 race schedule.

As is the tradition, the 2017 season kicks off January 6th and 7th in Parker, Arizona. However, this year’s event features new sponsor GMZ Race Products, Inc., and the new “GMZ UTV Winter Nationals presented by Polaris”. This “Showdown in the Desert” is open to all Motorcycle, Quad, and UTV classes only.

Next up is the famed “BlueWater Resort & Casino Parker 425” presented by Impact on February 2nd thru 5th. “The Legend Lives On” as the Car and Truck classes get their 2017 race season started at this famed event. A special 1-day
Pre-Fun Run will take place on Sunday, January 8th.

Next on tap, “The Great American Off-Road Race” has an all-new date, as the “Polaris RZR Mint “400” presented by BFGoodrich Tires” takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 2 thru 5, 2017. Ever since it was added to the Best In The Desert race schedule, “The Mint 400” has gained immensely in both popularity and race entries. This is a points race for the Car, Truck and UTV classes only.

Following “The Mint 400”, the Motion Pro Nevada “200” Trail Ride moves up on the calendar to March 31st thru April 2nd. This is a non-points, Motorcycle only trail ride event. “An Epic Motorcycle Off-Road Adventure” held outside Caliente, Nevada, is personally lead by the one and only Casey Folks, himself. Call Best In The Desert for information on invitations.

Full fledge racing gets back underway with the “Polaris RZR UTV World Championship” on its new dates of April 14th and 15th in Laughlin, Nevada. “A Desert Race in a Class of Its Own”, this event is open to Motorcycle, Quad, and UTV classes only. This event includes a fun-filled Family Poker Run for UTVs only.

Following the huge success in its inaugural running, the “Method Race Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic presented by Canidae Tap-It” is back on May 11 thru 14, 2017. This 2-day race format “Dual in the Desert” next to the playground of the Colorado River is for Car, Truck, and UTV classes only. The popular Family Poker Run event for UTVs is also featured.

After a short summer break, Best In The Desert racing gets back on track with its flagship event, the famous General Tire “Vegas to Reno” presented by FOX. For 2017, the 21st annual running of “The Longest Off-Road Race In The United States” takes place August 16 to 19. Starting north of Las Vegas and finishing just south of Reno, Nevada, this grueling 500-miles plus, point-to-point race is open to all classes.

On October 12th thru 15th, Best In The Desert returns to Parker, Arizona, for the “BlueWater Desert Challenge”, where racers and fans can take in the non-stop action of the 2-day race format during the day and then all the activities the town of Parker and the Colorado River has to offer at night. 2017 will be the second year that this popular event includes the Motorcycle and Quads along with the Car, Truck, and UTV classes as “The American Challenge Continues”.

2017 will again close out with the Pahrump Nugget “250” presented by Supercross.com in Pahrump, Nevada, on November 30th to December 3rd. Competitors will “Race for the Gold” as they take on the challenging 250-mile single loop race course for their last chance at a possible season ending Class Championship. This will be a points race for the Car, Truck, and UTV classes only. There will be a special 1-day Pre-Fun Run for this event on Saturday, November 25th.

With the schedule set, the 2017 race season will undoubtedly be another banner year for Best In The Desert, “The American Off-Road Racing Series”. It’s not too early to start your planning now.

Joey, how long until the bikes and quads get stuck only doing 2 laps and the UTV's take over and get 3 laps at Parker 250? I am not being snarky, I think it will happen or just give everyone 3 laps.
