If you have a good teching station you can find out alot about what people have done with their motors. Thats what the rules are for. You dictate exactly what the rules are. When I first started racing sidexsides a couple of years back ,there really was no rules. A handfull of us drivers got together and started having drivers meetings. Me and a couple other drivers where there representing the super stock class. We set the rules in place for that class. just like mods can't run a R1, stock has its limits to. as long as they are clearly spelled out. And like I said there is allways going to be that ass that likes to sneak in some tricks that are not aloud because they cant drive worth the crap so they want to have the biggest and fastest motor so nobody has a chance of catching them on the track. Sorry so long long but I had to lay it out......:D

YEP, a GOOD thorough set of rules is just as important as a good, thorough tech inspection before and after the race for all classes. So is a good protest format ...... one that is well thought out and easy to administer. Without these things in place, cheating will be far too tempting for some people......

This is very true. A good protest format is very important. It should be across the board to, even if the car your protesting is the company that is sponsoring the event or race. I ran into this problem in the past, and I know other people have to. Just because a company is sponsoring the race does not make them exempt from the rules.

i already have a modified cam cover. just need an engine pump to determine displacement. comp test is easy as well. my brother and i already had it in place to govern. it wouldnt be as simple as a pump test on a v8, but doable in a protest situation. the ss class was great. one of the better classes to watch just on carnage alone. great racing too. bummer its not a part of m4sx anymore.

ya it does suck thats its not part of it anymore. I'm going to hold a ss race with payback sponsored by HELLBOUND NATIVES , I can see if I can get the casino's involved. I am checking right know with PALA RACEWAY, spread the word see what people want. I will get this going. I have a track right now at Amago raceway that I can use.
