Defending Red Bull Scramble Series National Champion Mia Chapman begins her quest for a second straight championship on Saturday with the season-opening Red Bull Sand Scramble, which brings the series to the dunes of Glamis. Chapman and more than 125 other competitors will go to battle on a custom 2.8-mile layout in the Imperial Recreation Area.

“I couldn’t be more excited to get back to Red Bull Scramble Series action this weekend in Glamis!” said Chapman. “It’s going to be a blast to start the new season in such an important location for off-road, but to carry the title of defending National Champion is even more special. Now the heat is on to make it two years in a row. I’m ready!”

The Red Bull Sand Scramble returns to Glamis for 2024 as the season opener, after previously serving as the finale in 2022. That year, Chapman finished 16th in the SxS Pro class final after coming from the second row of the grid. This year, she’ll enter the series as its defending champion, scoring 285 points across five starts and capping off the season in the Solstice Scramble in Alaska to earn the title.

Saturday’s racing kicks off at 8AM with three-lap heat races. The three-lap last chance qualifier will run beginning at 1PM, while the five-lap final will kick off at 2PM and awards will be handed out at 4PM. Following this weekend, the 2024 Red Bull Scramble Series will continue on May 4 with the Red Bull Ranch Scramble in Decatur, TX.
